Happy National Read A Book and Coffee Ice Cream Day...

Hello Lovelies!!  I hope everyone is having a great weekend so far.  I found out today is National Read a Book Day as well as National Coffee Ice Cream day.  This reminded me of last month when we had National Lazy Day and National S'mores day on the same day.  I started wondering where do these "National" whatever days come from?  It seems that no one knows who started them or where they come from.  Well, whatever.  Who am I to question?  So today relax and enjoy a good book and some ice cream guilt free :)
Read a Book Day is today. Take time out of your busy life, and relax with a good book. Reading is a great lifetime hobby. It offers so many positive attributes. It's relaxing and therapeutic. It's educational. Its entertaining. Cozy up on a chair, indoors or out. It doesn't matter where you read that book, as long as you can do so in a comfortable manner. If you doze off along the way, we won't tell anyone.  (from: Holiday Insights)
If you are a coffee lover and a lover of ice cream, than today is your lucky day!  Today is a food holiday that is annually celebrated on September 6, it is National Coffee Ice Cream Day.
This creamy and caffeinated ice cream treat is sure to satisfy your taste buds.  There are those that are not a fan of cold coffee, however when it is whipped with cream and sugar, it takes on a magical taste of it’s own.
According to Foodtimeline.org, coffee ice cream has been a standard flavor on the Howard Johnson’s restaurant menu since at least the 1960′s, along with vanilla, chocolate, banana, macaroon and coconut. (From: National Day Calendar)
